Using megatrain.com I've got myself to Sheffield and back for City v Rotherham on the final day of the season for a mere 18 quid. It's a coach up (makes good time actually, especially if you live nearer Victoria than Euston Rd) and a fast train back to London.

Details below for any SE based bargain seekers?

PS to the above - the Exiles through NLM have various train options from 20 quid return.

Email Neil asap if you want to join him.

I'm going up on the train with NLM, but because I'm staying up until the Monday I decided against the £72 single on the way back!

I can however beat your price easily, I am coming back with National Express (my life's in a mess) for the princely sum of 2 English pounds, on one of their 'funfares'. Not sure how much fun it will be, but for the saving I can justify two night in a hotel!

edit: I should say that if I get a better offer, all I've wasted is two quid. If City gain promotion at Sheffield, I'll be coming back in a white limo!

How can NE afford to charge £2 for that journey?
