I notice that Pete Blewett 'has parted company with the club' following a Board meeting.

I guess the fact that the Moseley result meant that there is no Twickenham appearance this year and probably no promotion to the Premiership, so the Board '...felt that it is now the appropriate time to make a change in the coaching structure'.

Is there any more money to throw at an attempt next year?

Yep, Rowe has loadsa money and needs to get rid of it somewhere, plus with the squad numbers capped next year presumably they canspend more money on less players so get some better ones in.

Still, that is a terrible decision made by the board. This is the closest Exeter have ever got to the Premiership and yet the board still feel it's not good enough. Seems that managing a rugby club is almost (if not more) as ruthless as managing a football club.

Poor decision :(

Pete has been at the helm for some time and the games such as Moseley they should have won they have not and this seems to be down to tactics expect a BIG name coach to take over!

But perhaps they could have been closer had they not fielded a weakened team against Esher, nor allowed key players to swan off on a jolly on the other side of the world when, in essence, their entire season hung on one game.

That, whichever way you look at it, is bad management. Yes they've got close, but they've also carelessly thrown away TWO fantastic opportunities.
