Anyone else approaching this weekend with a sense of dread? The cricket today, the rugby tomorrow, its not looking good at the mo and nothing's happened yet! Anything less than an innings defeat and a win by less than 20 for Wales and i'll almost be happy. Still, at least we are doing well the badminton European Team Championship.

If we get the selection right, we'll win in Antigua.

Well one of my mates is cautiously optimistic for the rugby as England's team selection is purely designed to slow the ball down and prevent Wales from doing anything. So it will be about as much fun to watch as Rushden away last year in the Trophy... but we might not be killed totally.

I don't believe him, but he does know his rugby. So we'll see.

I'm off to stick a multiplier on every team England are playing. :(

Shame about the pitch. Cosmic conspiracy to prevent Shah playing Tests.

Rumours that Ian Bell was spotted at the ground late last night with a dumper truck and 100 tonnes of extra sand are frankly scurrilous.
