England squad:
Goalkeepers: Robert Green (West Ham), Joe Hart (Man City), David James (Portsmouth).

Defenders: Wayne Bridge (Man City), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham), Luke Young (Villa).

Midfielders: David Beckham (LA Galaxy), Gareth Barry (Villa), Michael Carrick (Man Utd), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Villa), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City), Ashley Young (Villa).

Forwards: Gabriel Agbonlahor (Villa), Carlton Cole (West Ham), Peter Crouch (Portsmouth), Emile Heskey (Villa).

Out of that I'd pick;

Gabby Agbonlahor
Peter Crouch/E-mail Heskey

Agree apart from Milner (IMO he is mediocre at best), replace with Beckham and Glen Johnson I would replace with Luke Young.

Heskey and Gabby up front.

Personally I think we should play a complete black 11 to **** the racist Moose Faced Spanish off

But that would prbably mean playing Clayton Ince in goal and did you see the goal he gifted away yesterday........ made Jonesy's poor kicking look brilliant.

Fair point. Jonesy, kicking and brilliant in the same sentence is unheard of.

I think Milner deserves a run-out. He has pace, close control, a decent cross and is difficult to defend against because he shoots well with both feet, unlike most of the England team (Rooney excepted). Is one of the reasons why Villa are currently upgrading to Champions League status. As a wide player he is a much more 'modern' option than players like Downing or Wright-Phillips, who are way too predictable on the ball. Seems that Ashley Young is a more likely starter, given that Becks, Lamps and Gazza Bazza seem pencilled in. The Spain midfield, if at full strength, is far more wily and technical than ours and that is where we might lose the game if it is taken seriously by both teams (doubtful).

What's wrong with Milner, Ellis? He's far better than anything Liverpool have had down their right flank in donkies. He can do a full back on the move with his dribbling ability and he can out trick a full back from a standing start. He's got a far better crossing ability than Wright-Phillips and, like antman says, he's got an eye for goal from wide positions.

Keepers look weak as does the defence, a distinct lack of bite in the middle and any international squad with Crouch in it is just plain wrong.

I like Milner but am not sure he can step up, Beckham is on fire at Milan and with Agbo and Heskey up front his delivery might prove effective.

Having seen Milner a few times this season I can confirm he is playing bloody brilliantly, but I would expect Becks to start.

I like Michael Carrick but no way in a million years should he start ahead of Barry.

Good to see Carlton Cole in the squad who, despite much derision, has had a fantastic season.
