Chesterfield Grecian here with a few recommendations for Wednesday.

Pubs....

The Portland Hotel (Wetherspoons) near the Market Square - 10 mins from ground.

The Market (near the above) - Real Ale Pub

The Rutland (beside the Crooked Spire) - Real Ale Pub - 10 mins from ground

The Barley Mow (on Saltergate) - 5 mins to ground (Best Pub & Barmaids)

I know the Barley Mow admits away fans but not sure about the others or the Social Club.

Parking...

Town Hall Car Parks on Saltergate 5 mins from ground (small charge). Very limited street parking around ground.

Chesterfield's mid week games kick off at 7.30 for some reason.

Oh and don't forget Saltergate is probably the oldest football ground in the country now, it will not have changed since your last visit.. expect basic.

No, no unless you want it to be.

Chesterfield is not a rough place, like any club there are a few idiots, but they only tend to surface against local rivals.

Crooked Spire is 5 minutes from the train station and then a further 10 minutes to the ground.

Never been to Boo-them Crescent then, piglet?
(Those away end urinals had to be smelt to be believed!) ;)

Yes I have been to York a few times, and they were very basic.

The plus point about the urinals at Chesterfield is that they do not have a roof (definitely on the home end, not sure about away end) hence they are flushed regularly by the rain and do not smell too bad.

Did you ever go to Feethams Darlington, I seem to remember the ones there being totally without lighting, it was like being in a cave.
