Couldn't help noticing THIS over on confforums (apparently posted by a Luton fan):
Wage Caps and Conference Stats

Just been reading some interesting stats about conference clubs and the implications of the 60% wage cap and who spends what on players.
*Torquay are the biggest payers with an annual football wage bill of 800,000, followed by Stevenage 700,000 and Forest Green 600,000.
Histon have achieved their success on just 125,000. Shows what can be done.
**I would expect the Hatters to have a wage bill on a par with Torquay at the very least, given we will probably have double their attendances.
Given this, there is no excuse for failure next season.
Just a couple thoughts:
* How is this sustainable on gates barely scraping 2,000
** Not the first club to think this - a be bitterly disappointed! ;)

As I understand it (but ready to be shot down!), the Conference cap relates to turnover including any guaranteed external investment for revenue support. So the commitment from the husband of the lottery winner and the other directors is included in the mix.

It's also worth noting that TUFC recieved a fair bit in cup revenue (as they wil this year) which will of course be included.
