I see he has 'parted company' with Leyton Orient. It's not so long ago he was being touted for jobs at bigger clubs.

A certain Alex Inglethorpe is being mentioned as a possible replacement.

Can't see it myself but you never know.

Don't see why not, he's a bit of a legend at Orient isn't he?

If (and it's a big if) Lingy was still available, (given 45% of all managers getting the chop never get another job as a manager) he would be a damn fine replacement for Tiz when the day comes (hopefully not for a good while yet!) Lingy is still held in high regard by many City fans still to this day.

To last over 5 years as manager at a lower league club is a achievment in itself...

This happens so often - a manager gets praised, results go down the pan and he's out on his arse. I wish Lingy well. As Olds says its quite an achievement just surviving at any club for 5 years. I hope this means that it will be easier to find his way back into football management again. Nice to see our old boys doing well, most of the time.
