Managerial casulties today.

Aidy Boothroyd parts with Watford- have to say think they will really struggle now, he's a decent manager and worked wonders with them.

While John Ward leaves Carlisle- have to say, he's a victim of his own success.

I was suprised to see Boothroyd went as I could see him as a one club man. Losing at home on Saturday must have been the final straw.

Boothroyd had his instant success in taking Watford to the Premiership, but my Watford chum was not exactly enamoured with him in the last couple of years. Coupled with their crippling financial position which may well see them in Admin before long, their style has been a real cause for concern.

When we were linked with their winger, Alex Campana, I asked my chum about him. His response was along the lines of "good player, decent skill, hence why the boss doesn't pick him". I think Boothroyd ran out of ideas - with results like when we had that slump in results and most importantly playing style under Inglethorpe.

Maybe he needs a break and then a new club to gain fresh impetus.
