Yep great selection

he actually made his debut on the tour to India last time around. he played very well in that match scoring 83. England went on to win that match

I think he will do well as he is a very wristy player and good player of spin

Matty Prior looked good with bat and gloves during the onedayers against southafrica, I would like to see him play

Stuart Broad has to deliver with the ball or else he should be out. Tim Bresnan would have been a good selection.

Lets hope they all do. India's a tough place to go.

Who will be first to get the Delhi belly then?

Bit surprised about Ambrose getting the nod over Foster. Would of prefered Rashid over Swann but other than that it's all good.

So would I. I dont rate Swann much really, and Rashid could do with some international experience, afterall a few years ago they were saying he could be the next Shane Warne.

A few years ago he was doing his GCSEs. The guy is only 20 and the 'A' squad is the perfect place for him. No need to throw him to the lions yet...

Foster has been very unlucky

anyway despite Ambrose being picked in the squad I think Prior will get the nod for the first test

Prior had a very good summer and showed great improvement with gloves when he returned in the one day team

in terms of batting he is just like Iain Bell a frustrating player who gets a good start and then fails to convert the good starts into a big score

Agreed - he is still working on his game, and looks an excellent prospect, but Swann has the experience. Not so sure we'll go with two specialist spinners, especially as Owais' bowling has been mentioned in dispatches.

Although he was only just starting to bowl spin when he turned Pro, and even then his best figures (which I saw him take at Brizzle) were bowling seam up!

My team (assuming we go with 6 bats and Fred at 7):

Cook
Strauss
Shah
KP
Bell
Colly
Fred
Ambrose (superior keeper)
Broad
Harmy
Monty

With Fred at 6 and 2 spinners:

Cook
Strauss
Shah
KP
Bell/Colly
Fred
Prior (superior batsman)
Broad
Swann
Harmy
Monty
