Was his retirement down to injury or a love of the demon drink? Either way, I always thought there was a chance we might see him back at SJP at some stage. After all there aren't that many clubs to choose from within striking distance of Cardiff.

Was injury - specialist told him to pack it in. Even then he had a number of offers from non-League and Wales, but stopped completely to concentrate on a new job.

He sorted out the booze problem, then was getting back to form before the injury hit. Shame.
