Just heard from my contact that Canham is going to sign very soon for a biggish club, my contact 006 could`nt say who but said it would raise a few eyebrows.

Good on him if this is true. I always thought he had more potential when he was with us than the moaners ever gave him credit for. I hope he does well.

Having said that he was singularly unimpressive for Team Bath against us the other night in what was arguably City's worst pre-season performance.

Notts County are set to sign two new strikers, ahead of Saturday's first game of the season at Bradford City.

Former Bolton striker Delroy Facey and Team Bath front-man Sean Canham are to move to the League Two club, subject to passing a medical.

Canham will cost Notts £5,000 - the first transfer fee that the Magpies have paid for four and a half years.

Manager Ian McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I felt we needed a stronger presence up front."
