August Televised EFL and Cup Games agreed

Sky Sports and the English Football League have agreed which games will be televised live from the English Football League (EFL) and the first round of the Caraboo Cup. No matches from League 2, and an inevitable Sunderland game from League 1 makes it on to the list.

The 15 games selected are:-

  • Friday 3 August: Reading v Derby County – Sky Bet Championship (8pm)
  • Saturday 4 August: Sundayderland v Charlton Athletic – Sky Bet League One (12:30pm)
  • Saturday 4 August: Sheffield United v Swansea City – Sky Bet Championship (5:30pm)
  • Sunday 5 August: Leeds United v Stoke City – Sky Bet Championship (4:30pm)
  • Monday 6 August: Hull City v Aston Villa – Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm)
  • Tuesday 7 August: Nottingham Forest v West Bromwich Albion (7:45pm)
  • Saturday 11 August: Derby County v Leeds United – Sky Bet Championship (5:30pm)
  • Tuesday 14 August: Yeovil Town v Aston Villa – Carabao Cup (7:45pm)
  • Thursday 16 August: Sundayderland v Sheffield Wednesday – Carabao Cup (7:45pm)
  • Friday 17 August: Birmingham City v Swansea City – Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm)
  • Saturday 18 August: Preston North End v Stoke City – Sky Bet Championship (5:30pm)
  • Tuesday 21 August: Swansea City v Leeds United – Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm)
  • Wednesday 22 August: Aston Villa v Brentford – Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm)
  • Friday 24 August: Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion – Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm)
  • Saturday 25 August: Nottingham Forest v Birmingham City – Sky Bet Championship (5:30pm)

The September games will be announced by 27th July.
