An added incentive for the players and supporters is that this is now a Cup match! The Supporters Direct have designated this game as the Brian Lomax Cup which is competed for between Trust owned clubs and Bath is the most recent addition to the fan owned family. Bath City played a friendly against Bristol City on Tuesday, and the Romans lost the game 3-0.

Paul Tisdale is expected to play a different XI in each half. Bath City play in the National League South, finishing ninth last season. They open their new season away to Bognor Regis on Saturday 5th August.

There will also be a penalty shoot out between the two sets of fans at half-time. If the main match is drawn at full time, the cup will go to the team that was successful in the half time penalty shoot out.

Fans are invited to visit the Three Daggers Craft Brewery Beer Bus, and there is a bar in the ground serving real ale.
