Redundancies at Exeter City

Much to the surprise of City fans, there has been a few redundancies at the Club. With fans believing that finances were okay, the actions were unexpected.

The Club, through Julian Tagg, have issued a statement

The club board has undertaken a 360 review of the staffing, which has been going on for the last six months, with the assistance of outside professional help, and staff were made aware of the process before the start of the season.

Our business faces constant challenges and changes in terms of new demands and skill sets – we’ve got a new development coming up with health and safety aspects and there are constant challenges. Obviously, I can’t speak about individuals and any redundancy is regrettable, but we’re in a position where the business needs to progress, with those aspects and considerations in mind.
