Luke Croll Makes the EFLs Team of the Week

Luke Croll, Exeter’s loanee from Crystal Palace, makes the EFL’s Team of the Week after his performance in the Grecians 2-0 away win at Stevenage.moore-Taylor_Croll_james

This was Luke’s third game for Exeter, and his part in a resolute defence was crucial. With the defence missing Jordan Moore-Taylor after his sending off, a re-jigged back line had to repel sustained attacks from Stevenage as they looked to exploit the space left by the departure of JMT. But an outstanding performance from Luke Croll made sure the defence was not breached.

The EFL had this to say on Luke:-

Croll saw his central defensive partner, Jordan Moore-Taylor, dismissed early on in the game, but that proved no problem for the Crystal Palace loanee and his fellow Grecians.

The 21-year-old starred at the back giving Stevenage no way through, and Exeter took home maximum points reid_croll_woodmanthanks to quickfire goals from Lee Holmes and Ollie Watkins.

The full EFL team is:-
