The Club have been treating Hoskins carefully in his rehabilitation from injury and he is aiming to be ready for the season opener against Yeovil on Saturday 8th August. He joined the squad on the pre-season tour of Scotland, but didn’t take part in any of the games. He has turned out in front of City fans at St James Park though, coming on as a substitute against Bournemouth and the 2015 CEE finalists Fluminense Under 19s.

City manager Paul Tisdale his delight on the signing, saying:

Will is a player that we have pursued for some time.

He may have had a difficult time over the past couple of seasons with injuries, but he really has impressed us in his short time here on trial.

We won’t expect too much from him too soon – He will be competing for a place on the bench for the time being as we look to ease him back to match fitness.

He’ll wear the number 16 shirt.
