Will Hoskins Still Training With Exeter

Although triallist Will Hoskins went on tour with the Grecians to Scotland last week, he’s yet to play in any of the three friendlies that have been played so far.

In answer to a question on the Weston-Super-Mare match blog, of “Is Hoskins still on trial”, the reply came:-

Yes, he’s still with the team at the C&F but not involved tonight.

At the time he came one trial Paul Tisdale said of Hoskins:-

We tried really hard to sign him (previously) but someone trumped us, so I’ve got into the process of looking at his game before.

If we can get good value and give someone an opportunity, everyone’s a winner. He’s someone that’s got pedigree.harley_hoskins_feat

Hoskins has made 251 first team appearances since starting playing for Rotherham in 2003. He’s scored 62 goals in that time, and hs scoring record started with two goals in his second game for the Millers in a 2-1 win away at Wigan.

He played six times for Oxford United last season, his playing curtailed by injury. According to a report on the Football League website, he was injured last September in a game against Southend, where he tore a tendon in his groin, with an MRI showing an “avulsion of his adductor tendon”.

It’s clear that Paul Tisdale wants to sign him, time will tell though if the injury will clear enough for the Club to take the risk of signing him for the coming season.
