Exeter Appoint New Finance Director

Exeter City have confirmed the appointment of Keith Mason to the Club Board in the position of Finance Director.

Keith Mason, who grew up in West Yorkshire before moving to Devon in 1988. He has worked for South West Highways since 1995 and is currently the Finance Director at the organisation. In his role with SWH, he is also responsible for IT, insurance and fleet as well as handling elements of HR.

He replaces former incumbent Steve Williams in the role, following Steve’s decision to step down from the Board to concentrate on his own vocation.

Exeter City Chairman Julian Tagg said:

It is always very sad when someone like Steve leaves Exeter City – he has put in a remarkable amount of time and effort to the club over many years and it is a shame to lose him from our team.

However we are very pleased to be able to welcome Keith to the Board – he inherits a very healthy situation from Steve and his experience will be a real asset going forward for our club. His work has already begun and there are some exciting times ahead.

Former Finance Director Steve Williams said:

There are many exciting projects ahead of the club and it is a shame that I will not be part of these, but I have to put myself first – it is now time for me to devote more time to my own business.

I have enjoyed working with everyone at the club and admire the dedication that goes into it, and I would like to thank everyone involved for their support.

The newly-appointed Finance Director, Keith Mason, said:

I am delighted to be joining Exeter City at such an exciting time – I have grown very attached to the club since I moved to Devon 27 years ago and it is a pleasure to be involved.

I hope that by working with the rest of the Board I can help continue to improve the finances, and hopefully that will benefit the club on the pitch and give the supporters some exciting times ahead.
