City Youth Earn Spot in Youth Alliance Merit League 1

The two southern based leagues for the Football League’s Youth Alliance now split in to two merit leagues. The top six teams from the South-West league will join with the top seven from the South-East League.

Despite some poor results in December, the Exeter City youngsters will be involved in the higher league. The league will comprise 12 clubs as follows:-

AFC Bournemouth
Peterborough United
Exeter City
Barnet
Milton Keynes Dons
Luton Town
Plymouth
Watford
Portsmouth
Stevenage
Southend United
Swindon Town

The second merit league comprising the remainder of the teams from the two leagues are as follows:-

AFC Wimbledon
Oxford United
Cambridge United
Northampton Town
Gillingham
Leyton Orient
Newport County
Bristol Rovers
Torquay United
Cheltenham Town
Dagenham and Redbridge

The Under 18s will play their first game on Saturday (7th February – 11am kick off) out at the Cat & Fiddle against Barnet.
