Sunderland Interested in Pym?

A sound rumour from the Cat & Fiddle is that Sunderland scouts have been looking at Exeter City young goalkeeper Christy Pym.

The 19-year-old has been featuring for England Under 20s, along with Liverpool target Matt Grimes. Pym has now featured 28 times for the Grecians. He made his professional debut between the sticks last season away to Southend United.

Any transfers will be helpful to the Club in over-coming a tight budget, and would also boost Paul Tisdale’s player budget. The transfer window opens on 3rd January 2015.

James Hamon has replaced Christy Pym in the last few games, in order to give James some playing time.
