Supporters Crowdfunding Raises £3400 for Match Sponsorship
Launched with just a few weeks notice the Supporters Trust embarked on an ambitious idea to raise funds from supporters to be the sponsors of the Burton Albion game on 6th December.
Aiming to raise £1250 to cover the Category C status sponsorship costs, fans were asked to donate £5, 
and be entered in to a draw for various prizes. The fund quickly passed that first target. The campaign gathered momentum with the thread on Exeweb.com forums being used to promote the appeal, with many users of the forum contributing and Exeweb.com themselves donated £300 to help the fund.
So, last Saturday, with the hospitality area buzzing for the Burton game, some lucky winners went on to the pitch to present the Club with a cheque for a staggering £3400. Trustee and chief promoter of the initiative, Elaine Davis said:-
It was a fantastic, life-enhancing day and we would like to thank all the supporters and club staff who helped make it so special and such a success.
