Exeter City have announced that Academy youngster Ethan Ampadu has spent three days with an England Under-15 training camp at St George’s Park this past weekend.

Recently, Ethan recently represented Wales at Under-16 level in two fixtures against France, with fellow Academy player Max Smallcombe, at Dragon Park in Newport, home of the Wales National Football Development Centre.  Both the players played in the 2 games helping Wales win both games.

Academy Manager Simon Hayward said:

Ethan is a talented young man with a great attitude, and it is very pleasing that he has had the opportunity to experience playing with some of the best prospects in the country.

He has a great deal of potential and he continues to work hard to improve himself, I hope that he enjoyed the opportunity to challenge himself to step it up another level again.

His selection for the England training camp is further evidence that we are producing high-calibre footballers at Exeter City with a great attitude towards learning.  That is at the heart of what we are aiming to achieve.

Academy graduates, Christy Pym and Matt Grimes, are currently away in Holland with the England under 20s.
