Colin Cooper Walks out on Hartlepool

With Hartlepool falling to the bottom of league 2 today, Colin Cooper has stood down as manager. The Club has issued the following statement:-

Following the 3-0 defeat against Carlisle United at Victoria Park, the 47-year-old made the decision he had taken the Club as far as he could and offered his resignation.

“We would like to thank Colin for his efforts during the last eighteen months,” said Chairman Ken Hodcroft.

“We are glad that we gave him his break in management and would like to wish him every success in the future.”

Cooper had been in charge at The Vic since May 2013 when he took his first full-time managerial position.
