Saturday 27th September sees League 2 leaders Bury visit St James Park for a L2 game. Kick off is at 3pm.

Stuart Attwell is aged 31 and hails from Nuneaton. He started as a Football League referee in 2007, scunthorpe_exeter_featrefereeing a League 2 game between Hereford and Rotherham. In his first season, he officiated a League 2 play-off game at Wembley between Stockport and Rochdale, which Stockport won 3-2.

Attwell was promoted to the Select Group of Referees and started refereeing in the Premier League, the following season. However, after a number of controversial decisions, he was stood down in 2012 and returned to refereeing in the Football League.
