Football Conference Gets New Sponsors

After the online payments company Skrill pulled the plug on their sponsorship for the three Divisions of the Conference, the League has been looking for a replacement. Working with the SportQuake agency they have won a deal with the van hire company Vanarama.

The deal is for 3 years and is thought to be in the region of £750,000 a year.

Vanarama will be the title sponsors which means that the Football Conference can return to their original name after a 7 year absence. The 3 divisions will be known as Vanarama Conference, Vanarama Conference South and Vanarama Conference North.

There will be more news coming soon on how Clubs will be working together with Vanarama to earn Club’s income through their community schemes. vanarama_conference_thumb

At their pre-season meeting at AFC Telford, Brian Lee, Chairman of the Football Conference said earlier today:

I am sure I speak for the whole of the Football Conference family, in welcoming such a competitive and innovative brand as Vanarama, to become our new Title Sponsor.

We all look forward to working with Andy and his first class committed team to establish a partnership going forward which will be of major benefit to both over the next few years. Branding is a key element in this sponsorship for Vanarama, who will now be able to link their rapidly growing name, allied to our national sport through our position in it, backed with vibrant media coverage.

The season opens on Saturday 9th August, and details of the fixtures for all three divisions can be found at http://www.exeweb.com/2014/07/05/football-conference-fixtures-for-201415-season/
