Brazil Day up at the Park this Sunday

For those not going to Brazil to celebrate the centenary of Brazil’s first ever international, then you can join in the celebrations up at St James Park, Exeter this Sunday 20th July.

Starting at 2pm, the Park will be all things Brazil, and Exeter City fans and the people of the City of Exeter are invited.

The Club have said:-

Up at the Park we will have sideshows, face painters, BBQ food and the bars will be open!  Music will be provided in the afternoon by Street Heat Samba Band and Daniel Rangel from Brazil playing traditional Brazilian tunes with his friend Henry Dunne.  In the evening, Velvet Touch – famous in the South West since the 1960s – will be playing.  City once played Brazil, but Velvet Touch have supported The Who!

There will be loads for youngsters to see and do: Buddy Bear from Crealy Great Adventure Park is joining us, as is Basil the Brazilian parrot and Grecian the Lion.  There will be a fire engine, football games, Brazilian horse-racing and a few surprise guests too!

And our friends from Radio Exe will be with us throughout the day.  There will be no parking so come by bus… Stagecoach are kindly adding a City special open-top to their fleet in the City that afternoon!
