Jake Gosling Decides to Move on

Jake Gosling has announced via his Twitter account that he’ll not be accepting any contract from Exeter rob_edwards_featCity. There appears to be no ill-feeling and would seem that the 20-year-old wants to broaden his horizon. He said on his Twitter account:-

Been an amazing time playing football for Exeter however it is time now for me to move on and start a new chapter in my life and career now

Met some top lads there that will be friends for life and would like to thank everyone involved there I wish them all the best in the future

Jake played 16 times in all for the Grecians. He scored once for the Grecians, in the home win against Northampton last March (2013). Significantly, in that season he was on loan at Dorchester and scored the winner in a FA Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle live on the television! He also took part in Exeter’s successful under 21s Premier League Cup rjake_gosling_picun this season.

In March he moved to Gloucester City on loan. He played 12 games for the Tigers and scored 3 goals. He was also part of the team that helped the Tigers move up the table and secure their status in the Conference South.

Gosling has also been picked for the Gibraltar squad who have 2 friendlies coming up. He could have been our first international player for sometime!

While we don’t know where he’s off to, we do wish him luck for the future. His goal against Argyle in the FA Cup will remain in our memories for sometime.
