He made is announcement on the forum of Exeweb.com and said:-

It was an honour playing for Exeter City FC . My time at club has been brilliant and loved every minute off it. Thank you to all the fans and coaches who believed in me. I have made many great friends and become a better player.

Always appreciated by the fans, Artur always made a point of coming to the away fans and applauding their efforts. The fans in their place always had a “Artur for Poland” chant ready.

The Official Site have now confirmed his departure and Paul Tisdale has this to say on Artur:-

Artur has been absolutely impeccable in his professionalism throughout his time with the club and he has had nothing but commitment to improving himself and the team.

Of all the goalkeepers that we have had at St James Park during my time with the club, he has the technical and physical attributes to potentially go furthest in the game, and I believe that had can go on to play at a very high level.

He is still only 24 years old and has already played the best part of 200 Football League games – most of which with us – and we are grateful for his significant input during these past four seasons.

Artur also deserves an immense amount of credit for the way he has gone out of the way to help Christy Pym in his development during his time too.  Like any senior player should, he has added a great deal of value to his younger colleagues.

During these final five games of the season in particular, Artur was hugely supportive of Christy and helped him and the club immeasurably during a crucial time in City’s season, which was a testament to his character and appreciated by all the staff.

Artur joined in July 2010, from Birmingham City having been on loan the previous season at Burton. He went on to make 141 appearances for the Grecians. He made his début away to Hereford United in the JPT, having taken over from Paul Jones.

As a reminder of his ability in goal, here are 2 penalty saves by Artur. The first was at Deepdale against Preston North End

Then at Chesterfield

Exeweb.com wishes Artur all the best in his future career.
