February Player and Manager of the Month for the Skrill Conference

Player of the month for February were awarded as follows:-

  • Skrill Premier – Andre Gray of Luton Town
  • Skrill North – Kris Taylor of Hednesford Town
  • Skrill South – Tim Sills of Gosport Borough

Free scoring Luton Town were helped by Gray getting 7 goals in 4 games, including a hat-trick in Luton’s 7-0 win over Hereford United. The award to Kris Taylor is quite special. Diagnosed with testicular cancer gosport_bideford6he still turned out for Hednesford the following day and scored a goal. He made no more appearances in February due to treatment, but did turn up to support his team on match days. For the Conference South the much disliked figure of Tim Sills took the accolades. Now with Gosport Borough he help the Borough to a trip to Wembley in the FA Trophy with 4 goals.

Manager of the month for February were awarded as follows:-

  • Skrill Premier – John Still of Luton Town
  • Skrill North – Simon Weaver of Harrogate Town
  • Skrill South – Paul Doswell of Sutton United

The award for Conference Premier could hardly have gone elsewhere! Under John Still, suttonLuton Town won all their 4 games and scored 19 goals in the process to confirm their vice like grip on the top of the table. Simon Weaver saw his team get 3 wins out of 3, including higher opposition, as Harrogate Town climb to 6th in the table. For the second month running, the South award goes to Paul Doswell as Sutton United stay unbeaten in 2014.
