Amankwaah Departs Northampton Town

Former Exeter City defender Kevin Amankwaah has had his contracted terminated by the Cobblers. He last played for Northampton at Sixfields against York City earlier this month which the Cobblers lost 2-0. He’s played 24 times for struggling Northampton.

It’s unclear whether this is part of King’s clear out or if Kevin has another team to go to.

Amankwaah had 1 season as a Grecian playing 36 times and was a popular player amongst fans. His last game for Exeter City was at home to Dagenham and Redbridge. He was injured after just 2 minutes of play and was not fit again that season.
