Disappointment as D&C Police Move Devon Derby Kick Off Time

Another Devon Derby and another unnecessary change in kick off time for a the match. The Game at St James Park against Plymouth Argyle will now kick off at 1pm instead of 3pm. The Devon and Cornwall Constabulary still smarting at criticism of their incompetence over the handling of the JPT match at Home Park a few seasons ago, feel the need to interfere and make sure that the ordinary football fans should suffer.

This decision comes just 2 weeks after their dreadful handling of events in Sidwell Street after the Bristol Rovers game. Where licensed SIA stewards at one local pub openly criticised local police for their heavy handed approach when no actual problem existed.

The Club have made assurances that the kick off time should be okay for local young footballers by saying :-

The new start time should still allow junior footballers that play in local Saturday morning leagues around Exeter to have ample time to arrive for kick-off.
