Graham Westley Returns to Stevenage

Stevenage FC have announced that Graham Westley has returned to be there manager. 45 year old Westley was sacked by Preston North End in February.

Westley has spent much of his managerial career in non league, and has managed a few teams against Exeter City. His managerial CV includes Kingstonian, Enfield, Farnborough Town, Stevenage, Rushden & Diamonds, Kettering Town, and Stevenage.

His most notable success was leading Stevenage to promotion out of the Conference, them the following season promoted to League 1, repeating Paul Tisdale’s feat the previous seasons.

He will always be remembered, and disliked by so many non-league fans of that time, for what happened at Farnborough Town. He bought the Club, and appointed himself manager. Having achieved a home 4th round FA Cup tie against Arsenal. The tie was moved to Highbury, and made a lot of money from gate the receipts. Westley them upped and left Farnborough, taking “his” money with him and parked up at Stevenage. Earning much opprobrium from non league fans.
