Pilgrims Boss Praises the Grecians

Pilgrims’ manager John Sheridan has been praising the Grecians in his press briefings this week.

With City needing 3 points for their promotion bid, and Argyle needing 3 to avoid the drop in to non league football, there is more that bragging rights at stake.

Sheridan said

They are a good team. They are going well at the opposite end of the table from us and it’s a big game for them, as well as us. They will feel there’s an opportunity to come here and get three points because we’re the team who are near the bottom.

But, hopefully, they will be prepared for a tough game, because that is what we are going to give them. We know they are good team, a good footballing side, and, if we let them dictate, they can cause you problems.

He continued:-

They have got a good away record, but we have lost one in five, and I feel as if we are getting better as a team and we have just got to take the form we are showing at the moment into the game.  Consistently, over the last five, six or seven games, performances are getting better. We have just got to keep on doing that. If we do, we will be where we want to be at the end of the season.
