Romans Bath Time for Chamberlain

Exeter City forward Elliott Chamberlain has joined Bath City on a month-long loan deal. He was due to make his debut for the Romans tonight at Twerton Park, but their game against Welling United has been postponed. Blue Square South side, Bath City, have had a few postponements (which also restricted the number of games Tom Nichols got with them), and will be playing 2 games a week to catch up. An excellent opportunity for Elliott to get some 1st team action.

Chamberlain has just signed to the end of the season. His wages are  paid by the 1931 Fund (a group of supporters who fund a young players’ wages).

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale said:

A number of our young prospects have gone out on loan this season and returned with an increased level of maturity that comes with playing first-team football.

Elliott is a really bright young man with bags of potential, and now he has the same opportunity to play regularly and we’ll be monitoring his progress with Bath.  We will look forward to welcoming him back to Exeter soon.

Elliott has played 3 times so far for the 1st team, all as a substitute. At home against Aldershot in the JPT, and York in a League 2 game, and away at Gillingham where he helped set up the winning goal in a stunning 3-2 victory at Priestfield.
