FA Cup 2012/13: Q4R Preview – Wins Could Mean a League Club

Watching Alton Town play Bradford Town on a glorious summer’s day back in August seems a long way off. But here we are at one of the motivational factors in doing well in the preliminary rounds of the FA Cup, win this tie and maybe draw a league club.

The 2 lowest clubs in the competition South Park and Blackfield & Langley, started back in the Extra-Preliminary round so this will be their 6th round that they’ve appeared in. South Park play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division and are located near Reigate, Surrey. Blackfield & Langley play in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier Division and are located in Fawley near Southampton. South Park will be hosting Metropolitan Police of the Ryman Premier, while Blackfield & Langley will be away at Hastings United also of the Ryman Premier.

Barrow v Tamworth
Alfreton v Gateshead
Cambridge United v Luton Town
Grimsby town v Kidderminster Harriers
Wrexham v Southport
Forest Green v Dartford

If you want to make it 2 games over the weekend, then on Sunday Slough entertain Gosport Borough, and Hayes & Yeading host Boreham Wood at Woking’s ground.

Other ties that have potential to be a cracking tie are Chelmsford City at home to east Thurrock and Gloucester City playing Chippenham Town at Whaddon Road. Didcot Town who we watch in the previous round entertain Aresley Town, in what Diddy must think is a winnable tie. Diddy are already the furthest they’ve been in the FA Cup.
