Exeter City have confirmed that Kwame Ampadu, aged 41, will be moving to Arsenal and will be part of their youth set-up. Arsenal is where Kwame started his career 22 years ago.

He made his full debut for Arsenal against Derby County in March 1990, having made 2 appearances as a substitute.

Kwame joined the Grecians in 2000, and went on to make 162 appearances (24 as a substitute). His last appearance for Exeter City was up at Carlisle when Exeter City won 2-0 in the last Conference game of the 2004/05 season.

His best success as coach of Exeter City’s Academy side was the season just gone. He steered his young prodigies to the final of the Football League’s Youth Alliance final, and they finished 4th in the the South-West division.
